Landmark helps coordinate patients on home infusion therapies with home health nursing care. Landmark has an Ambulatory Infusion Suite (AIS) located in Irving, TX where Landmark Infusion nurses see patients to perform lab draws, dressing changes, and infusions.

What is an Ambulatory Infusion Suite?
An Ambulatory Infusion Suite is a specialized outpatient facility where patients can receive intravenous (IV) medications, fluids, and other therapies that do not require an overnight hospital stay. It offers a comfortable and convenient alternative to inpatient hospitalization for many types of infusions.

We offer:
· Antibiotic therapy
· Lab draws
· Dressing changes for IV Access.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes, all treatments in our Ambulatory Infusion Suite require a physician's order and a scheduled appointment. We do not accept walk-ins, unless you are an established client

​How do I schedule an appointment?
The first appointment will most likely be coordinated by your Case Manager prior to hospital discharge. Once you are an established patient with Landmark Infusion, you may be able to schedule follow-up appointments directly with our suite.

What should I bring to my appointment? Please bring:
· A form of identification (driver's license, state ID)
· A list of all current medications, including over-the-counter drugs, supplements, and herbal remedies
· Wear Comfortable clothing
· Something to entertain yourself (book, tablet, headphones), specifically for a first dose of medications.

How long will my infusion take?
The duration of your infusion will vary depending on the specific medication and your individual treatment plan. It can range from 30 minutes to several hours. Your nurse will be able to give you an estimated time upon arrival.

Will there be a nurse present during my infusion?
Yes, a registered nurse specialized in infusion therapy will be present to administer your medication, monitor your vital signs, assess for any reactions, and answer your questions throughout your treatment.

Can a family member or friend accompany me?
Generally, one support person is welcome to accompany you, especially if you require assistance. However, due to space limitations and to maintain a quiet environment for all patients, we may limit the number of visitors at certain times. Please check with our staff beforehand if you plan to bring multiple guests or children.

What are the common side effects of infusions?
Side effects vary greatly depending on the medication being administered. Your physician and nurse will discuss potential side effects specific to your treatment before it begins. Common, mild side effects can include localized pain or bruising at the IV site, or fatigue. Serious allergic reactions are rare but possible, and our staff is trained to manage them immediately.

What if I feel unwell during my infusion?
Please notify your nurse immediately if you experience any discomfort, pain, or unusual symptoms during your infusion. They are trained to assess and address any concerns promptly.

What are your hours of operation?
Our Ambulatory Infusion Suite is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. We are closed on weekends and major holidays.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please notify us as soon as possible, preferably at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the time slot to other patients.

Key things to remember for a smooth experience:
· Communicate: Don't hesitate to ask questions or voice any concerns to your nurse or care team. They are there to help you and ensure your comfort and safety.
· Bring distractions: Infusions can take time, so bring a book, tablet, headphones, or anything else that will help you pass the time comfortably.
· Dress comfortably: Wear loose-fitting clothing, especially tops with sleeves that can be easily rolled up or sleeveless shirts to allow easy access for IV insertion. Layers are also good in case the room temperature varies.
· Stay hydrated : Unless otherwise instructed, feel free to bring water, coffee or soft Drinks.​​​​​​​​​​​​​
